KMS FinalSadie Perkins has a sixth sense about things—especially people dying. Her clairvoyance has never bothered her until she starts to believe that her visions are causing the deaths of those around her. After her latest relationship ends … badly … Sadie swears off love for good. While searching for an uncomplicated life, Sadie finds her hands full not only with a home renovation project but with defending herself against suspicion of murder. There’s a fine line between predicting someone’s death and causing it. Has Sadie finally crossed that line?

Enter contractor Max Schultz, who is not only good at working on houses, but he’s good at working on Sadie too. Much to Max’s dismay, as he’s trying to win Sadie’s heart, he finds Sadie’s first love, Henry Fitzsimmons, is back in the picture, snooping around.

Sadie doesn’t know which way to turn or who to trust, including herself. Can Sadie clear her name and open her heart all at the same time?

My review:

Holy crap does this book take you on a rollercoaster! I really enjoyed the twists and turns. The humor was pretty spot on too. You feel like you are reading someone’s diary or having your best friend tell you a story. It took me a few chapters to get past that, mainly because it’s not a common writing style, but I grew to love it by the end of the book. It helped you get to know Sadie all the better.

If anyone has had life dump on them, it’s Sadie. I have no idea how the girl wasn’t a raging alcoholic or just off the rails crazy by the end of this book. between her mother, her father’s stroke and her idiotic siblings…her life isn’t all glitter and roses. Thrown in a dead ex-boyfriend and two men vying for her attention, you’ve got a seriously messed up girl. Did I mention she thinks she can kill people with her thoughts?

I wish a few of the storylines were wrapped up a bit tighter but it didn’t really take away from the book. I loved the ending and I am kind of hoping that we could see a Killing Me Softly 2. I would love to see Sadie make her way through the next part of her life!
