Review:
Further down the rabbit hole Lara goes. Everything about her world is changing, all the time travel abilities she thought she could control is anything but in her control. After everything she had been through with Rex, Rewind and Patricia James, Lara thought she had a chance at a normal and happy life with Donovan. But she was so wrong. Lara fought so hard to bring down Rewind and the things she knew they could accomplish in the future, she fought so hard to keep all her loved ones safe but as the agents that are supposed to protect her attack her and bring her back to Rewind so more test can be done and another form of control can be put into her brain the fantasy of a boring happy life is shattered.
After everything Lara was put through in Unplugged, all of Rex’s manipulation, all of the alternate realities, all the suspense and drama, would Lara be able to grow anymore as a character? Would Detached be able to dive further and once again blow your mind? I say yes, Detached is the perfect third companion to 15 Minutes and Unplugged. Detached has the same kind of mixture of excitement and uncertainty that made Unplugged such a fascinating, gripping and suspenseful read. As I read about Lara once again being thrown into the role of savior and hero I have no other thought than yes Lara Crane Montgomery has this, she’ll figure out a way to once again save the world and the loved ones she had to leave behind, all while trying to keep control of her expanding powers before they get a hold on her. Detached was filled with unexpected twist and turns that kept me from putting it down and launched it to being my favorite story in this series. Lara is a strong female lead who doesn’t need to be coddled, she doesn’t break down and become unable to function without the love of a guy. But the love from her family and Donovan and her love for them is what Lara thrives on and what propels her to keep on doing what she thinks are the right things to not only survive but to save the world.
What you do tomorrow, you’ll pay for today.
Life was easier in the cage, now Lara Crane’s life is under a microscope.
She thought she was out, ready for a normal life, but with the Feds endless questions and tests, Lara realizes she might never be free.
Things would be worse if not for Donovan. They promise to ride it out together as Lara is fitted with a time travel restraint, designed to not only stop her, but to save her life as her mind spirals out of control. No more second chances. No more time travel to revert everything back the way it was once before.
As the danger increases, so does Lara’s headaches and nightmares. Her brain is desperate to be free, loose, and as the future begins to flash all around her, Lara is terrified the end might be near.
And maybe she doesn’t have a future at all.

Wow! These books sound so good. I need to find time to get them read. More books for the TBR pile! LOL
Era I’d like to travel to – Hmmm. I really like advancements and technology but maybe North America with the natives before Ol’ Chris discovered it and mucked things up.
