Morrigan
Shuffled from place to place in the foster system, Morrigan doesn’t know the meaning of home. Plus, she is different. She has power over fire, the ability to move objects with her mind, and glimpse into the future. Just when she believes her life can’t get any stranger, she discovers her true identity.
Filtiarn, a knight with a dark past and a surprising secret, has been tasked with guiding the heir of Tír na NÓg through countless perils to be returned to her family. Once Morrigan has been reunited with her mother and grandmother, their triad can save the forgotten land of magic from being devoured by an ancient evil.

Laura “Luna” DeLuca lives at the beautiful Jersey shore with her husband and four children. She loves writing in the young adult genre because it keeps her young at heart. In addition to writing fiction, Laura is also the sole author of a popular review blog called New Age Mama. She is an active member of her local pagan community, and has been studying Wicca for close to eight years. Her current works include Destiny, Destiny Unveiled, Phantom, Morrigan and Player.
My review:
I am actually trying to find the right words to justify how much I loved this book. First and foremost, I love witches. I also have a special affection for changelings. This book has witches, changelings and gatekeepers. One of my favorite things about Laura’s books is that the characters are always so palpable. you feel like you are on the journey with them, not just reading words. Morrigan definitely lives up to her name. She is strong, resilient and quick on her feet. Since she lived in foster homes all of her life these traits are a must. The most interesting thing is along the way she figures out she is a witch. She successfully hides this from the people she is living with but notices that most people look at her like they know something is off with her but they are not quite sure what is up. Then Filtiarn walks into her life (after being in her dreams for many years) and nothing is the same. She finds out her true identity, why she has never fit in her world, not to mention that her CATS are not who they seem! She goes on a journey to help save her mother and grandmother but like most things in her life, it’s not simple nor easy. This is a must read, even if you are not into YA books or fantasy. It’s a great story period.
