My review:

There are very few authors that can write MPV (multiple points of view) stories with out making me want to slap them upside the head.  Liz Shulte being one of them and now LP Dover has been added to the list.  It was awesome to have both sides of the story. It amped up the action and made you fall in love with the characters more.

MMA is something that makes me cringe. The whole idea of men (and women) beating the crap out of each other for sport boggles my mind. Well leave it to LP to make it fun, sexy and exciting. On paper romance and MMA doesn’t mix. Reading it though, it makes complete sense. A strong, virile man who is basically undefeated in the ring becomes a puddle of mush over a girl. I hadn’t read the first two books in this series, which you don’t really need to because they are stand-alones, so I wasn’t completely familiar with their back stories but LP does a great job throwing info in here and there so you get caught up very quickly.

Claire and Mason get a second chance on love. They messed it up badly the first time around and the quickness that they got back together would normally irk me but in the case of these two, it just made sense. Claire was basically just biding her time with Cooper until Mason came back. It’s almost like a sixth sense was telling her it was only a matter of time before he came back. The chemistry between these two just crackles off the page, so electric. I was so wrapped up in their story I forgot to eat. I found myself super invested in the out come of the mystery behind the MMA fighters that were being killed, trying to figure out who the killer was because you knew it was some one they knew, but their were so many possibilities of who it was your mind was boggled.

So far 2014 has been good to me book-wise. I just one-clicked the other two Second Chance stories from LP and are going to read them this weekend. I suggest you do the same! This book has tons of action and steamy romance. Awesome read. (On a side note: if you read the book…..come back and tell me why the cover picture is spot on. )

L.P. Dover is the author of the Forever Fae series, as well as the Adult contemporary standalone series called Second Chances, and her NA romantic suspense standalone called Love, Lies, and Deception. She lives in the beautiful state of North Carolina with her husband, her two wild girls, and her rambunctious kitten called Katrina.

Before she began her career in the literary world, L.P. Dover spent her years going to college and then graduated to cleaning teeth, which she loved doing. At least until the characters in her head called her away. She has never been the same since.
