My review:

I used to read thrillers all the time. I stopped because they started getting stale. Same old story, same old characters, same old  everything.  Shadow Cay does have the same old typical villains  but it it has very atypical heroes or “good guys”. What started out a  relaxing vacation for Madeline Nesbitt’s family turns into a waking nightmare. Madeline shockingly has a premonition that indicates her parent are in danger, but they did not heed her warning and they were killed by drug-lords on their vacation boat. Luckily Madeline gets away this time, but in searching for her parents killer she is caught (she gives them an assumed name) and tortured by this same drug-lord. After escaping with some of his cocaine she flees for home. Returning to her real name she meets an amateur detective Peter Duncan. Madeline then finds herself surrounded by espionage, corrupt cops, lies, murder and greed in corporate America.

The story is not for the weak of stomachs, if you are squeamish…there are graphic scenes and descriptions. It’s a great story, fantastic, fascinating thriller.
