TEXAS: He who laughs last laughs best… Members of a production crew, shooting footage to promote the city of Houston were robbed at gunpoint. The stick-up men took the crew’s expensive equipment in front of a “We Love Houston” billboard. We learn that the crew may get the last laugh in this matter. Why? It appears that a rolling Go-Pro camera shot footage of the robbers that has been turned over to the Houston police Department.

TEXAS: Cookie Monster, really? Gene Bradshaw, 25, also known as “cookie monster,” was arrested on a Thursday for more than 300 robberies at fast food restaurants in Texas, where he would allegedly demand cookies as well as cash. Bradshaw and his suspected accomplice, Kristy G, 25, face charges of aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

VIRGINIA: What a load of bull! Police in Mount Solon have put out an all-points bulletin after someone stole a load of bull semen. Police said 10 containers of the semen – worth up to $500 on the black market – were taken from a barn. Police also report if the thieves didn’t store the semen in liquid nitrogen, it could be ruined.

WASHINGTON: This must have been a whole lot of cupcakes! A government employee in Yakima spent $757 of public money on fancy cupcakes for her own farewell celebration. Cheryl Mattie, the city’s former human-resources director, defended the spending as legitimate. However, city officials disagree and plan to take her to small claims court to recover the $757.

Professor Birdsong received his J.D. from the Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Howard University. He teaches law in Orlando, Florida. After graduation from law school he worked four years at the law firm of Baker Hostetler. He then entered into a varied and distinguished career in government service. He served as a diplomat with the U.S. State Department with various postings in Nigeria, Germany and the Bahamas. Professor Birdsong later served as a federal prosecutor. After leaving government service, and before he began teaching, Professor Birdsong was in private law practice in Washington, D.C.
